Constitutional no.2 stipulates that the power belongs to the people. None of the parties has the right to impose power on people. The parties failed to reach a consensus during three months, the people will reserve the right to decide the country's rulers. 

Moldova is a small but united country. We welcome the decision to set up the snap elections for September 6. Regarding Dodon, you also see the price of betrayal. The whole country observed yesterday the cost of betrayal. He sold the country with few coins. 

He's not our country's president, he decided to sell our country. He no longer has honor and dignity. If he thinks he still wants the country, let's hold the elections. We today have request the dismissal and go for elections to elect a president of whom we are proud. 

(UPDATE 12:44) Pavel Filip expresses his message. 

"Dear our compatriots, today we are proving to be the real compatriots of Moldova. I heard an extraordinary news. They said that Dodon slept at Russian Embassy last night while we were sleeping in our houses. 

We are undergoing the very complicate moments. It's going on. President of PDM refused to sell our country. We had PDM slogan: Actions, no words! We are people of the facts. 

Constitutional Court declared that Dodon violated the Constitution and offered to hold snap elections. I signed a decree in this regard because I think nobody but people should decide the destiny of the country. We are people. We will have victory on September 6."

 (UPDATE 12:23) Vlad Plahotniuc has delivered a speech in front of the Moldovan supporters. 

"I want to thank everybody for being here, because we're here to express a message to protect our country in front of an irresponsible politician group who have tried to capture our country by illegal elections. They want to take over our state institutions by force. It's a state blow, coordinated with Igor Dodon, who is influenced by foreigner, who still imagines to be a president. He's no longer our country's president. Down Dodon! He is a president who needs guidance for everything he made for our country."

He attempted to federalize our country and sell our country to foreigners. He betrayed the people. Betrayer! After everything he has done, he needs to be dismissed immediately. We need to organize the elections to vote for a new president, a president who works for our people. 

We, Democratic Party, tried to make an alliance. We discussed to make alliance to continue what we already begun. To enhance roads, raise pensions, allowances, improve the well-being. But Dodon came and tried to convince me to federalize the country, to give in people who covet our country. I didn't try to betray our country. I refused his conditions. I refused to sign this document. Dodon with Socialists and people from ACUM bloc tried to capture the parliament and voted everything by themselves. They wanted to vote to federalize the country. It's betrayal! Dodon is a betrayer. He wants our nation to disappear. We are the only party who don't escape the functions. We are dealing with our people's problems."

(UPDATE 12:00) Democratic Party leader Vlad PLahotniuc together with interim President Pavel Filip are rallying on Great National Assembly Square . People are voicing loudly: "We are people, Dodon is a betrayer". 

(UPDATE 11:58) Thousands of Moldovan people from all corners of the country have gathered in PMAN to support the constitutional order. The event started at 12:00 and is held by Democratic Party of Moldova.
