Bac river bank transformed in trash bin. Chisinau City Hall asked Prosecutor's Office and Ecologic Agency to solve the issue

On the Chisinau suburb, directly on the bank of the river Bâc, on the administrative territory of the commune of Truşeni, a private land has formed an unauthorized landfill with a surface that extends over several hectares of land. Interim Mayor of Chisinau Municipality, Ruslan Codreanu, today organized an exit on the spot to raise public awareness of the danger posed by this garbage.
The Interim Mayor went to the territory accompanied by representatives of the competent services and the municipal police.
"I was here a few weeks ago." I was stunned by the situation I found, considering the size of the manhole and the possible consequences for the environment, a real ecological catastrophe on the suburb of Chisinau, the river Bâc and a particular residential neighborhood", noted Ruslan Codreanu.
"The owner of the land on which the waste is deposited is known once the land has been transferred to private ownership. I notice that in the past few days, the people who manage the improvised polygon have tried to land the waste, but have only moved closer the garbage from the river Bâc, and because of the unbearable odor and what people say, there were transports and residues from an alcoholic beverage factory, but I want to check it", said the interim mayor of Capital.
According to the Interim Mayor, people transport construction waste on the territory of the polygon, even if the authorized municipal garbage is nearby.
The mayor of Chisinau ordered to block the access to the territory of the improvised polygon and requested the support of the Police Directorate in this regard. Ruslan Codreanu also asked for identification of people who transport waste in unauthorized places and sanction them.
In the context, the interim general mayor mentioned that the local public authorities of the Chisinau municipality will urgently refer the Chisinau Ecological Agency and the Chisinau Prosecutor's Office to the situation.
