Bacteria and nitrates in several food products from Moldova were supposed to arrive in markets and shops in the country. The National Food Safety Agency employees found them following several checks last month.
Experts have found new types of native vegetables containing nitrates. Among them are the red beets, potatoes, cabbage and radish.
However, bacteria has been found in apples, sausages and chicken eggs. ANSA experts say that the bacteria detected can cause fever, headache and back pain.
