Several employees of Bălţi City Hall are targeted in a criminal case filed by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. They are being investigated for abuse of service.

Suspects would have falsified several public auctions. Prosecutors have started an investigation in this case a few weeks ago.

They descended to the headquarters of the city hall, in the offices of some officials, where they issued papers and contracts drawn up by them to purchase more than 100 trash bins worth 600 thousand lei.

According to legal people, city hall employees collaborated in this investigation and provided all the necessary materials.

Officials found to be guilty are at risk of up to five years in prison.
