Scandal in Balti town. Several families have remained without water for five days. This after the Municipal Water Supply Company employees have refused to repair a water pipe leak, until people will pay for their renovation. The workers have started to work on the problem once the Publika TV team has started to ask questions.  

People have requested the intervention of employees from Water Supply Company after a stone fell  and damaged several water pipes. The company employees have done nothing to stop water delivery once on the spot. 

"The stone feel and broke the water pipe. Now they want us to pay for the repair works."

"Almost a week now, we have o water. We were disconnected and left this way. After we caled, they told us the work will be done only if we pay."

Representatives of the Water Supply Company in Balti say they will remove the fault only after people will purchase necessary instruments and will pay for the work.

" That's the law. It's their territory and they have to pay for it. I will inform them on what materials should be brought i order for the work to be done." , said manager Water Supply Company in Balti town,  Anton Dudnic.

A few hours after the Publika TV team was on the spot, people have started to received water. Water Supply Company have done the necessary works and their cost will be included in bills for January.

Balti town residents pay 10,08 lei for a cubic meter of water, which include the payments for the repair of the aqueduct.
