Bilateral meeting between Moldovan and Romanian border authorities (PHOTO)
The head of Regional Directorates of North, West and South of the Border Police have attended a working meeting with the team of the Border Police Inspectorate of Romania.
The meeting was held today, February 23th in Ungheni town within the cooperation between the Moldovan-Romanian border institutions.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the cooperation and reviewed the operational situation in the areas of responsibility to the common border, for the fourth quarter of 2016
They also highlighted the prevention of illegal migration, smuggling of cigarettes and trafficking.
Representatives of the working groups highlighted the high level of collaboration between the two entities and talked about the strengthening of the cooperation, in order to fulfill certain objectives, one of them being the state border security.
