Cabinet of Ministers approved law on electronic waste
Cabinet of Minister has approved today a law regarding the electronic waste.
The project foresees measures to reduce the impact of inadequate management of harmful waste on the environment and the population. At the same time, it states the responsibilities of economic agents in properly managing harmful waste.
The project includes for waste to be collected separately, transported and properly destroyed, based on their category.
To monitor that the law is respected, a national register will be created, containing the list of all manufacturers of electrical devices, the quantity of goods introduced in the market, as well as information regarding their collection, reuse and recycling.
Financing the collection, transporting the waste, recycling and destroying it without harming the environment will be performed by the economic agents who introduced the products in the market.
