The case of president of Dubăsari district, Grigore Policinschi, suspected of influence peddling, was sent to the court. According to Anticorruption prosecutors, the official brought to the district's budget a prejudice of 1.5 million lei.

Supposedly Policinschi illegally sent multiple officials abroad and rigged auctions, as well as offered unjustified salaries and bonuses to the employees.

If found guilty, he risks to 16 years behind bars, with deprivation of the right to take up public positions for the next 15 years. President of Dubăsari district was previously investigated in other cases. The press wrote that in 2011, Policinschi was investigated for inadequate management of public money.
