Case of rigged auctions: Five - in isolation, thirteen - under house arrest

Five people have been detained on Tuesday, April 11th in the case of corruption in case of rigged auctions. Thirteen other suspects have been place under house arrest.
The suspects include mayors, school principals and business men. They reject all accusations.
The Corlateni and Rascani mayors and a business man from Chisinau were placed in custody for 30 days.
One suspect was released, while others were placed under house arrests because they cooperated with investigators.
A total of 19 persons were detained in the case, being accused of corruption.
According to investigators, officers have faked more auctions after which they have obtained 28 million lei.
