Causeni district man dies after being infected with rabies
Tragic end for a man from Tanatari village, Causeni district. He died after being infected with rabies from his dog.
The director of "Toma Ciorba" Infectious Diseases Hospital confirmed the information for Publika TV.
The 39-year-old man was diagnosed with rabies four days ago. This happened two months ago when he was bitten by his dog. The dog died two days after the incident. The victim requested medical help only after his health worsened.
Rabies is a disease transmitted from animals to humans through contact with infected saliva through bites, scratches etc.
The disease affects the brain and spinal cord.
