Central Election Commission likely to punish political parties not submitting financial reports
The Central Election Commission (CEC) obliges 18 political parties to submit financial reports for the first half of 2016, until September 15. Otherwise, they will be sanctioned. The decision has been made today, after the CEC members had considered reports by political parties.
Here are the Romanian names of the parties failing to provide the financial reports:
Partidul Politic Partidul Agrar din Moldova, Partidul Socialist din Moldova, Partidul Legii şi Dreptăţii, Partidul Popular Creștin Democrat, Mişcarea Profesioniştilor "Speranţa-Надежда", Partidul Politic pentru Unirea Moldovei, Partidul Politic Noua Opțiune Istorică, Partidul Republican din Moldova, Partidul European, Partidul Politic "Partidul Popular Democrat din Moldova", Partidul "Moldova Unită - Единая Молдова", Partidul Mişcarea "Acţiunea Europeană, Partidul Politic "Pentru neam și țară", Mişcarea Social - Politică a Romilor din Republica Moldova, Partidul "Patrioții Moldovei", Partidul Politic "Partidul Societății Progresiste", Partidul Politic "Dreapta", Partidul Politic Partidul "Renaștere".
The CEC will ask the Fiscal Inspectorate to check up the sources of the donations over 75,000 lei ($3,750), transferred to parties.
The CEC has also established the amounts to be transferred to parties from the state budget, and has approved of rules related to the organization of the 30-October presidential elections.
