Central Election Commission refused to register initiative group of civic activist Oleg Brega
The Central Election Commission has refused today the registration of the initiative group for the support of the nominees for the position of president of Moldova from the civic activist Oleg Brega.
According to the institution, Brega did not give the necessary set of documents.
Today three more persons have applied the documents to the Central Electoral Commission. The three potential nominees are: leader of Democratic Party, Marian Lupu, the lawyer Mihai Corj, and the entrepreneur Artur Croitor, writes deschide.md.
Now, there are 9 nominees who announced their intent to run for president.
Yesterday, 31 august 2016 have registered their initiative groups in order to support the nominees for the position of chief of state. They are: Andrei Nastase, Mihai Ghimpu, Dmitri Ciubasenco, Maia Sandu, Iuri Leanca, and Igor Dodon.
