Central Market and public transports, potential coronavirus epicenter (photo report)
Despite high number of new cases of COVID-19 infection, people do not resist getting together in the busiest places in the city. Our photographer has captured these images that can confirm this fact.
At the Central Market, hundreds of people rushed after shopping while persons in charge of taking people's temperature could hardly cope with the situation.
"I don't need to be measured, I'm alright", a woman said when she refused the temperature check .
Meanwhile, in public transport, people do not respect social distance, some do not have masks, and others wear them incorrectly. Nobody notice how many passengers get on the buses as it used to be when there were carabinieri in the stations.
President Igor Dodon has commented on the alarming situation that people do not follow the advice of the authorities.
"Moldovans do not listen to the doctors' advice. They gather on the road and get on public transports carelessly. When you try to kick them out, they blame on the police", said Igor Dodon.
