Chaos on Vasile Lupu Street. Dozens of drivers are forced to drive back
Chaos and annoyance in Buiucani District. The traffic on Vasile Lupu Street, the section between Vissarion Belinski and Drumul Taberei is redirected due to the mending works of the thermal network. This morning, dozens of drivers had to make their way back. Some have ventured and defied the rules, running on the sidewalk.
The drivers are not only complaining about the road being closed and them having to turn back, but also about the lack of the signs which should inform about that:
"We need a way around. They should have installed some signs earlier. They only istalled a small fence and a sign that the access is forbidden."
Others were not so concerned about making their way around:
"If they have to repair the road, so be it. At least everything will be fine then."
Law enforcement officers urge drivers to avoid as much as possible this perimeter of the road.
"We ask the drivers to pay attention to this sign, for example, if they want to get from the Buiucani to the Centru sector to decide on going on Ion Creangă, Belinski Street, and respectively, to continue their way on Vasile Lupu Street bypassing the section on which traffic is stopped, "the Head of InfoTrafic Service Pavel Apostol declared.
If for some drivers this is a transit route, the locals say they are forced to manage this situation somehow:
"It's terrible, the road is blocked, the rescue crews can not pass, , it's a total disorder, they should fix it quicker or I do not know what will happen."
On the other hand, others say it's very inconvenient, but absolutely necessary:
"I totally agree that inconveniences have been created, but these things have to be done. Whether we like it or not."
"This mending works are pressing. Each winter they are digging and digging, like its a cursed street. They have to finish their work, and people have to be patient "
Thermal mending works will run until August 5, and traffic on this perimeter will resume from August the 10th.
