A 54 year old woman died on her way to the hospital, after the taxi where she was crashed by a trolley bus.

Larisa Crudu, the victim was the chief of the Education and Youth Department from the City Hall. She was the wife of the chief a department within the Education and Culture Ministry, Valentin Crudu. The accident occurred at the intersection between Stefan cel Mare and Serghei Lazo streets from the Capital. The taxi driver aged of 39 was transported by emergency to the hospital. None of the troleybus passengers suffered.

The driver of the trolley bus says he entered in the intersection on the green color of the traffic light, while the taxi driver breached the circulation rules. He says that he didn't manage to avoid the impact.

"He drove on red color of the traffic light. Even if I would have braked, the impact was impossible to be avoided. The passengers of the trolleybus weren't injured", said the driver of the trolleybus.

"The circumstances are yet to be established", mentioned a policeman.

 The taxi driver was hospitalized.

"The 39 year old man is in the reanimation section of the emergency department", said Petru Cravet, spokesman of the Emergency Hospital.

If found guilty, the driver risks up to seven years behind bars.
