Children hospitalized at the Mother and Child Center each received a mărțișor crafted by deputies
Children hospitalized at the Mother and Child Center from Chisinau received each a mărțișor created at a workshop organized by the Parlaiment. Deputies Valentina Rotaru and Aliona Goța, along with the institutions administration visited multiple rooms from the surgery and pediatric wards to hand out the gifts to patients, mothers and the personnel.
Deputy Valentina Rotaru offered each child a mărțișor with a greeting card: "I am very happy to gift you this symbol of spring, of warmth and hope and wish to assure you that those were made for specially you by deputies."
Deputy Aliona Goța, from the name of all deputies from the Parliament, gifted to each child a mărțișor, a hug and wished them well.
In their turn, the children mentioned that they cannot wait for spring, they were pleasantly surprised by the gifts of the deputies and promised to proudly wear them on their chests.
For the first time, officials have crafted martisoare within the Parliament along with their children, diplomats, artists and children from different districts within a workshop "A mărțișor for each".
In December 2017, Mărţişorul was registered by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
