Chiril Gaburici: Belarus connects new market such as EU by developing joint projects with Moldova
Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, participated today at the Moldova-Belarus Economic Forum for Inter-regional Cooperation, which is a platform for the promotion and development of the business environment, as well as the establishment of new Moldovan-Belarusian partnerships.
At the opening ceremony of the event, the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure mentioned that the Moldovan-Belarus Forum represents a fruitful collaboration between Moldova - Belarus and is a platform for developing new forms of cooperation in various fields.
"Today's Forum is of particular importance with regard to the practical implementation of the agreements established between two countries and will significantly contribute to the development of our bilateral relations.
During this event, we will provide information on the trade and investment potential of our countries, we will propose business ideas for improving the investment climate and for establishing new partnerships between Moldova and Belarus. Also, several trade and partnership contracts will be signed, including new agreements between regions, "noted Chiril Gaburici.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure also noted that Moldovan-Belarusian trade relations are in continuous development, especially in the field of transport, industry and food, and the representative participation of Belarus in the Forum is proof of the diligent work of the governments of our countries .
"Last year, Belarus ranked 9th among the countries with which Moldova develops trade relations. We see an increase in this area, and today we are taking a step forward in boosting Moldovan-Belarusian cooperation. By developing joint projects with Moldova, we could connect to new markets such as the European Union with over one billion consumers, "said Chiril Gaburici.
Present at the event, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Mihail Rusîi, reiterated that "all today's actions are aimed at the continuation of bilateral relations. Moldova is a reliable partner and a good friend for cooperation in various fields."
Chiril Gaburici and Mihail Rusîi visited the stands presented at the exhibition of Moldovan-Belarusian products. Minister Gaburici appreciated the wide range of exposed products and new technologies in the agricultural field and discussed with businessmen from both countries.
Also, Belarusian entrepreneurs were encouraged to invest in our country and thus benefit from the facilities and economic opportunities offered to the business environment and foreign investors in the Republic of Moldova.
The Moldovan-Belarus Economic Forum for Inter-regional Cooperation gathers around 150 local economic agents from different sectors of the national economy, as well as 30 Belarusian entrepreneurs who are representatives of the petrochemical industry, wood processing, agriculture and food, pharmaceuticals and science.
