Chiril Gaburici: Elaboration of Tourism White Paper is a revolution in the field, but there is still much to be done
"The launch of White Paper on Tourism is a revolution in the field. I appreciate everything that was done to this point and thank all those who took part in elaborating the book. Everything included in this Book must be implemented and it means more work" Minister Chiril Gaburici declared at the launch of the White Paper on the reform of the regulatory framework of the tourism industry in the Republic of Moldova. The study was made at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, in partnership with Moldova Competitiveness Project, financed by USAID and Government of Sweden.
The White Paper was elaborated following consultations with the associative sector of the tourism industry and was additionally consulted with the authorities, organizations and associations, whose opinions were taken into account in the final version's creation. The main established aims are: developing domestic tourism, developing rural tourism and touristic attractions, ensure quality services and consumer protection, diversification of tourist products and excursionist activity, improving training quality and labor force in tourism, optimal fiscal policies and reduce evasions; developing public-private partnerships in the field, etc.
