Chiril Gaburici requested for all buses and minibuses from terminals to be inspected for the safety and comfort of travelers
Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, has summoned today the executives of National Transport Agency (ANTA) and Bus Terminals, requesting them to inspect all vehicles for any technical problems, taking into consideration the increased amount of travelers during the Easter holidays.
"In the following days more people will travel. Therefore, I request for the number of routes to be increased, so that everyone will be able to reach their destination. I also solicit for all vehicles to be investigated for any technical problems. All buses and minibuses must meet the requirements, to be clean, while citizens to be offered quality services" Chiril Gaburici highlighted.
Minister of Economy and Infrastructure personally inspected multiple vehicles and discovered that none had seat belts. Chiril Gaburici requested the executives to take measures and ensure that all vehicles traveling between cities to be equipped with seat belts for the people's safety.
"Safety of travelers is just as important as good conditions. Seat belts must be present in all buses and minibuses that are going from one city to another, as in international transport. People must reach their destination in safety, I also request to be investigated whether all drivers passed their physical exams" Minister of Economy and Infrastructure said.
Here, Minister Chiril Gaburici, also sought information on all settlements that lack access to public transport going to towns and requested that for holidays, people from every village and commune from Republic of Moldova will receive access to such routes.
