The inhabitants of the Moldovan capital will pay more for having their garbage evacuated.

The Municipal Council has increased the tariff with MDL3.65 to MDL9.25 a person per month.

The dwellers of cottages will pay MDL18.50, that’s 7 lei more.

The companies will pay 100 lei a month.

At the same time, 38,000 poor families won’t pay the tariff and the expenses will be covered by the local budget.

The new tariffs will enter force in five days.
