City hall asks Prosecutor's Office to investigate company who delivered adulterated products to Tohatin school
Capital City Hall asks the prosecutors to investigate the activity of the company that delivered adulterated products to a school from Tohatin, where 12 children got poisoned. The request was made after the municipality will have the results of the investigation and the laboratory data. The announcement was made by Ruslan Codreanu, the interim of the Capital.
"The National Agenda for Food Safety found moldy potatoes and beet. They were storing the fish and the meat together. Many products had the expiration day over. The one who put in danger children's health will be punished", mentioned Ruslan Codreanu, the interim of the Capital.
Also, the mayor started checking the all the companies that deliver food to the school canteens.
"Why are these cases that often? It is because of some persons who want to make money by putting children's health in danger. From a legal point of view, all the filters are obeyed. The sorting board verifies the quality of the products. Thus, everything is perfect", said Ruslan Codrenau.
Meanwhile, the leading of the hospital infectious disease say that four days after poisoning, the children remain hospitalized.
"The children will be released five days after we get the laboratory results", said Diana Vlad, doctor of Municipal Hospital of Infectious Illnesses.
The 12 pupils of No.74 gymnasium from Tohatin village were hospitalized last Wednesday, after they had eaten at the school canteen. The activity of Ciocana factory was stopped and the director was suspended.
