Condition of national roads. INP gives recommendations
At this hour there are no precipitations.
However, because of the unstable weather and the snowfall, the National Patrol Inspectorate informed that they had suspended two lorries on Balcani highway, Leuşeni direction and two coaches traveling from Hâncu monastery to Chisinau, they carried about 100 passengers. However, the patrol inspectors in common with the roadside officers quickly acted with special equipment and worked the road with non-skid material. At the moment both trucks and coaches with people continued their way.
The National Patrol Inspectorate reminds and recommends to all participants in road traffic to observe the following rules:
- Inform yourself about the conditions of travel on the chosen route, as well as the weather forecasts for the following hours;
- Observe patrol inspector's directions.
- beginner drivers avoid the driving of the vehicle as much as possible during this period, the experience being reduced and the risk of getting involved in road events is greater.
Also, if you are driving through snow-affected areas, do not stop or stop on the routes on which public transport is moving to allow the snow-removing equipment to operate and the road traffic to be optimized. In the event of a traffic jam, to avoid the risk of snow in the field, do not continue driving and choose to retreat to places where you can find shelter.
At present, around 200 patrol inspectors are actively operating on national routes to make road traffic more efficient and help drivers in difficulty.
