The Consular Section of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau is gradually resuming its activity for submitting applications for civil status and travel documents only for applicants whose appointments have been canceled in the context of COVID-19.

According to a communiqué of the Romanian Embassy, the applicants will receive an e-mail with the date of the new appointment, the requests being rescheduled in compliance with the chronological order of their cancellation.

Next, the travel documents (electronic passports) and civil status (birth and marriage certificates) already drawn up will be issued.

In addition to these services, the Consular Section processes visa applications for essential trips (family reunification, medical conditions, carriers, medical staff), as well as for long-term visas for study and work, respectively (only for highly qualified workers and seasonal workers in agriculture).
