A 21-year-old biker from Costuleni, Ungheni is in a hospital fighting for his life after being injured in a traffic accident yesterday evening in Macaresti, Ungheni.

The victim was excessive speeding, police said. The road crash occurred when an oncoming car wanted to turn left and frontally hit the biker. 

The car driver got away unharmed but the biker was seriously injured and was transported to the Ungheni Hospital. He was placed in the reanimation department but the doctors are being low-key about his surviving chances.

Police have initiated an investigation regarding the crash.
