Spouses Ion and Elena Crăciun from Dănceni are celebrating their golden wedding. The two claim that a successful marriage is based on patience and love. Today, they have renewed their vows. Among the gusset counted friends and family.

Ion and Elena Crăciun have met 50 years ago, in a dance club from the village. They claim that it was love at first sight. It took only a few dates for them to decide to tie the knot.

"We met on March 9, while the wedding took place on May 1 and 2" wife Elena Crăciun said.

Their three children and grandchildren are proud and claim that they have set an example for the whole family.

"We thank God for living to this day. I wish to say that they are the best parents I could wish for" daughter Tamara Vârlan declared.

"My grandparents are a great role model. They created a beautiful family. They worked hard and taught us much" grandson Petru Vârlan declared.

At the event, the spouses respected all Moldovan wedding traditions.

The two were congratulated by the local mayor, as well as the president of Ialoveni district.

"They have wed when they were still young, raised three daughters, build a house, worked the land" mayor of Dănceni, Andrei Vârlan mentioned.

"I wish them health and may their house always be filled with people dear to them" president of Ialoveni district, Lilian Carmanu said.

Last year, 20 couples from Ialoveni celebrated their golden wedding.
