The glamorous Moldovan lawyer Valerian Manzat will stay in house arrest. 

A court from Chisinau has taken the decision of changing Manzat's custody regime.

He was arrested after the anti-corruption squad raided his office on charges of swindling a woman.

He asked her for EUR20,000, promising to bring her jailed husband from Moscow to Moldova, but a Moldovan court had already endorsed that transfer.

Moldovan media earlier wrote Manzat had counted in the law suit on the help of criminal Renato Usatîi.
