Creation of favorable and attractive business environment for both local and foreign investors discussed within Government
The creation of a favorable and attractive business environment for both local and foreign investors, the creation of sectoral commissions and the promotion of a constructive dialogue between the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure were the main topics of discussion during the meeting between the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure and the representatives of the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova.
Minister Chiril Gaburici reiterated the willingness of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure to participate at the collective consultations and negotiations committees, that will be created, including within the tripartite Government-Employees-Employers Commission.
"It is important to have an open dialogue between the authorities and business representatives to identify the problems faced by the business in our country and to come up with solutions. We want to create a favorable business environment and thus to develop the economy of the country", said the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.
In this context, Chiril Gaburici stressed that the public-private dialogue needs to be strengthened and came with the initiative of organizing monthly or maximum 45-day meetings with employers' representatives to discuss the current problems of the Moldovan business environment.
On the other hand, CNPM Chairman Leonid Cerescu thanked the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure for opening up and appreciated the initiative to create a common platform for discussion on economic issues.
During the meeting, a number of sectoral issues were addressed, such as the creation of a working group regulating entrepreneurial activity, the transparency of road fund spending planning, the need to adjust the law on public-private partnership, quality infrastructure, customs duties on raw materials for producers, the transposition of European directives and standards, in order to fulfill the provisions of the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.
