A criminal group of trading mercury have been detained by PCCOCS prosecutors in common with SIS officers.

The chemical has been smuggled in our country. 

According to PCCOCS prosecutors, chemicals were kept in a warehouse in Balti as they have sold to different people.

After searches, about 20 kg of mercury, worth about 10 million lei, were discovered and confiscated.

Moreover, PCCOCS prosecutors detained 2 active members of the criminal group, aged between 60 and 64, originating in Moldova.

The guys risk 3 to 10 years in prison.
