Daniela Morari represented Moldova at Understanding Migration in the European Union: Past, Present and Future conference
Promoting policies, establishing and developing partnerships, as well as communication in fields such as migration were the main topics discussed at the the anniversary conference "Understanding Migration in the European Union: Past, Present and Future", marking a decade since the foundation of European Migration Network, attended by Secretary of State of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Daniela Morari.
Within her presentation at the session "Building stronger partnerships in the field of migration with third countries", Daniela Morari spoke of our country's experience gained within the RM-EU Mobility Partnership , which also marks this years its 10th anniversary.
"We reiterate the will of Moldovan authorities to contribute, along with colleagues from the interested EU member states, in the replication in third countries of the good practices developed and tested in the Republic of Moldova" the Moldovan official said.
During the conference, Daniela Morari exchanged opinions with multiple EU decision-makers regarding the initiative of the European Commission to invite non-EU states to participate in the European Migration Network activity as observers.
The event also spoke of EU's experience over the last decade in promoting migration policies, especially after managing the European migrant crisis, as well as the future of those policies. At the same time, attention was offered to the role of partnerships between EU and third countries and efficient communication regarding migration with mass media and the public. The importance of this conference was highlighted by the participated of EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos.
