Data shows high danger of flooding because of DAMAGED DAMS

Over 10 percent of dams in the country are damaged, according to the data of the State Meteorological Service. Therefore, over 170 localities are in danger of flooding.
According to Moldova's Water Agency, over 270 million lei are required for repairs of the dams.
In 2016, the Government signed the plan for the management of the river Danube-Prut and Black Sea 2017-2022, which provides the allocation of 40 million euros for the rehabilitation of dams.
According to the document, 15.5 million euros will be allocated in the coming years to raise the dam on the Ialpug river around Comrat.
