Ungheni district residents to benefit from safe drinking water
Over 40,000 people from 31 localities from Ungheni district will have access to safe drinking water by the end of this year.
The modernization of water supply and sanitation is provided in the action plan for the years 2017 - 2020, approved yesterday, January 25th, by the Government. In total, 52 projects were selected in November and approved the continuation of other previously launched ten.
The project provides for the renovation and extension of water pipe lines from the Prut river. As a result, other residents of the district will have centralized water.
"This bus will be extended and already in 2017 will operate. They have already beneficiaries of drinking water. To be connected all these places where the situation is very serious," said Vice President of Ungheni, Alexandru cheese.
The project is worth almost 100 million lei. The money will be used for the upgrade of sewer systems, wastewater treatment and water treatment in Ungheni district.
