Defense Ministry discussed with NATO experts implementation of Defense and Related Security Capacity Building Initiative
Secretary General of State of Ministry of Defense, Radu Burduja, has met today with a group of experts from NATO, responsible for the implementation of Defense and Related Security Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI).
NATO experts came with the purpose to offer necessary expertise for the elaboration and implementation of a Military Strategy, as well as elaborate, coordinate and realize the defense planning documents on the construction and development of the Armed Forces, according to the terms of the National Defense Strategy and Military Strategy.
Secretary General of State of Ministry of Defense expressed his gratitude toward NATO representatives for offered expertise for the elaboration of strategic documents - National Defense Strategy and Military Strategy, claiming that this document is an important step for Republic of Moldova for the modernization of the defense area.
Radu Burduja has also mentioned that the national Defense institution is preparing for the second phrase of this initiative, which foresees identifying the possibilities for NATO to support Republic of Moldova, accentuating certain projects for the development of military's operational capability. Here, Burduja mentioned that our country counts on the support of our development partners in the second phrase of DCBI.
The group of experts from NATO will remain in Republic of Moldova between January 29 - February 2 2018.
