According to the preliminary results, 262 Democratic Party candidates won the mayoral races in the round two of the local elections.

The PDM came out with the largest number of mayors elected in the second round, 262 mayors according to the actual results. 

We are grateful to everybody who placed their confidence in the party and our candidates. 

Thank you, our colleagues, for your works, for courage and for dedication!", quoted the message of PDM President Pavel Filip on Facebook. 

The party also won 191 mayors in the local election's first round.
