Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, attended the official inauguration ceremony of Gerogia's elected President, Salome Zourabichvili.
The event was attended by about 150 representatives of different states, of which 55 high-level delegations and 15 at the highest level.
In his speech, the President spoke about his people, thanked and appreciated the contribution of each predecessor to the country's development and the strengthening of democracy, highlighted the priorities of his mandate and the country's development prospects.
Salome Zourabichvili is the first female president in Georgia's history. Salome Zourabichvili won the presidential election in Georgia on 28 November 2018 with 59.52% of the votes cast by Georgians.
It is worth mentioning that the official delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic also includes extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Georgia (residing in Baku), ES Gheorghe Leuca, and representatives of the Reintegration Policy Bureau.
