Direct and indirect flights to and from Italy suspended
According to the MFAEI representatives, Moldovan citizens are denied entry to the peninsula, between July 9-14, in the context of Moldova considered at high risk of spreading COVID-19.
The online table on the airport's website indicates that an airline has already canceled flights from Moldova to Italy and back. Specifically, as of today, flights to and from Milan, Turin, Venice, Bologna, Verona and Rome are no longer operated.
"Dear passengers, if you have purchased tickets for this period, please contact the air operator for more details," according to a post on the Facebook page of Chisinau Airport.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that Italy has closed its borders for people arriving from 13 countries, including the Republic of Moldova. Our citizens can no longer travel to the peninsula, even if they respect the self-isolation regime for 14 days.
