A driver is document for not declaring the correct amount of transported bottles filled with alcohol without excise stamp. The incident took place at Tudora Customs.
According to border guards, a coach going Chișinău-Belgorod, Russia, wished to cross the borders. The 54-year-old driver presented all documents, mentioning that he was transporting 30 alcohol bottles.
During searched, along with the mentioned 0.5L 30 bottles, officers found another 58 bottles with a similar content, all lacking excise stamp. During questionings the man refused to make any declarations, but later mentioned that they were purchased from an unknown person and were meant to be transported to Russia.
The items were confiscated and the driver was allowed to cross the border. The incident is further investigated by Customs Service.
