A man was arrested by law enforcement after attempting to rob a bank. The incident took place after midnight, in Râșcani sector of the Capital.

According to police officers, the suspect, who was drunk, broke the window of the front door, but cut his hand when entering the building.

The alarm alerted the police, who immediately were dispatched to the scene.

"A male was arrested. He had a cut on the elbow and was taken to the precinct for questionings" a policeman said.

The man is from Capital and lives near the bank. He fully confessed.

"I threw some stones and entered the building. I was drunk" the suspect said.

Due to the injuries, the man required medical assistance.

He was arrested for 72 hours.
