Early parliamentary elections cannot take place on the same day as the presidential election. The decision was pronounced by the magistrates of the Constitutional Court, following two notifications submitted by the MPs.
The High Court has also ruled that the dissolution of the Parliament, in the last 6 months of the country's president's term, is prohibited under any circumstances.
"The question regarding the procedure to be followed for the organization of early parliamentary elections and presidential elections on the same day is rejected.
