Edelweiss "Respect for Seniors" Campaign: Access ramp installed in courtyard of an old lady
A 77-year-old lady was the beneficiary of the "Respect for Seniors" Campaign. She couldn't get out of the house because she's in a wheelchair. A month ago, Edelweiss founder Vlad Plahotniuc has visited her and promised an access ramp to be installed.
The woman says her life is more beautiful and she's happy. Over 10 years, the woman was seeing the sun trough her window and her only wish was to enjoy the daylight in the yard.
"I cry in the house. Do you know how hard it is when there's nobody in the house" , said Olga Baltaga.
A month ago the president of Edelweiss Foundation has come in visit and promised to help her. A few days after, the access ramp was installed, being extended even to the gate.
I wake up and am able to get out myself." Now she spends more time outside than inside.
"I wish Mr. Plahotniuc heath. Thank you very much" , said Olga.
The aid was granted under the social campaign for the elderly, entitled "Respect for seniors". Thus, 40 lonely elders from Straseni district receive food packages and healthcare at home.
