Emergency medical care of better quality. New ambulances arrived in villages (PHOTO REPORT)
23 out of 69 ambulances will be sent in villages, soon. Other three cars have already arrived at the destination. The new cars are equipped with medical technique that will be of a great use in the emergency situations.
"This is a pulse oximeter that performs a blood oxygenation test and shows the pulse. Another device is a semiautomatic defibrillator that has a sound guide. Electrocardiograph, which you see in front of you has the ability to transmit online from any corner of the republic electrocardiogram at the call center in Chisinau", said Tatiana Bicic, the deputy director of the Emergency Medical Assistance Center.
The representatives of the Center for Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Assistance say that the ambulances arrive a little bit late in our country, because the producer decided to improve the features of the cars.
"The motors are of Euro-4, Euro-5", said Vasile Cucu, deputy director of Emergency Assistance Center.
Carpineni village from Hancesti district is one of the villages that will receive a new ambulance. The patients benefit of old devices.
This ambulance is 15 year old and it transports 20 patients daily. The doctors need to drive hundreds of kilometers to reach the destination.
"These conditions are very bad for the patients. It is very warm, the roads are bad. We are waiting for the car", said Liuba Pleca, nurse.
"The cars get broken very often."
The residents of the village say that due to the new ambulance the quality of the medical care will increase.
"It is hard for them when they have many patients. The ambulance is old and it should be changed by a new one."
To buy the ambulances, 52 million lei were allocated from the state budget. Recently, the Development Bank of the European Council approved a 12 million Euro loan to buy 168 ambulances and the required medical equipment.
