Employee of Labour Inspection sentenced to 7 years in prison

An inspector of the Labour Inspectorate of Gagauzia, has been recognized guilty of committing acts of corruption and has been sentenced seven years imprisonment.
According to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor, in May 2014, the inspector has extorted money from a manager of a company in order to not penalize him on alleged violations identified in illegal employment.
Thus, the inspector was arrested by prosecutors and NACC officers immediately after receipt of the amount of 2,000 lei.
The same inspector was fined with 140,000 lei and has no right to occupy certain positions for a period of 7 years.
The sentence may be attacked.
