Employees from Exdrupo begun filling potholes scattered around the Capital
Employees from Exdrupo used the good weather and started filling up the potholes form the streets. Authorities claim that this is a temporary solution and that once the weather warms up, potholes will be filled with hot asphalt.
Employees clam that their priority are streets where big potholes appeared.
"Do you have much to do? -We only begun. -What do you fill them with? -Asphalt mixed with cement."
"-You stop working when it rains? -Yes, we cannot work in rain. -Today you are luck. -Indeed we are."
The potholes are filled with a special mixture. Municipal authorities have prepared over 500 tonnes of material.
"The broken asphalt from last year is mixed with 10% of cement and fills the potholes, as the gravel used before was dangerous, the tires would throw them and there was a possibility it would hit a windscreen" director of Exdrupo, Adrian Boldurescu said.
Drivers were happy to see the employees at work.
"I believe it is a temporary solution, because of the weather, but thank you for this."
"They filled the potholes a bit, otherwise it was impossible to drive through."
"The whole city has potholes to fill. They should do something, as it ruins the tires. The car breaks down."
"There are many. During autumn they filled the potholes from Ciocana. It had some potholes that made it impossible to go through."
This month, Chisinau City Hall begun spring cleaning. Along the fact that streets are being repaired, authorities have cleaned the sewage, take care of the trees, collect the waste from streets and manage yards of apartment blocks.
