Employees of Emergency Medical Assistance Substation in Rascani district under quarantine for 14 days
The Emergency Medical Assistance Substation in the Rascani district of Chisinau Capital suspended its activity for 2 weeks after 14 employees of this institution tested positive for COVID-19 and were hospitalized.
Other 107 employees have been quarantined for 14 days.
All emergency requests will be taken over by the medical teams of the substations in the Center and Ciocana districts, according to the general director of CNAMUP, Boris Golovin.
"Beginning today, we increased the number of teams at the Ciocana and Center substations", said the head of CNAMUP, Boris Golovin.
Boris Golovin said the first case of a new type of coronavirus at the substation was registered at the end of March. That was doctor Ecaterina Litvinschi, 79 years old, who later died due to the virus. Since then, its employees have been regularly tested for COVID-19.
"We have twice examined our collaborators from the Rascani substation," said Boris Golovin.
There are 886 medical staff in Moldova who have been infected with the new coronavirus.
