Employees of Zoology Institute work in hard conditions a week after fire
The employees of the Zoology Institute work in hard condition after a week from the fire. They can't evolve their activity, because of the luck of electricity. The building will be reconnected to the electricity after the causes of the fire will be established. Also, the walls were affected by the water.
"Within the Entomology Museum, the ceiling suffered and the insects collections too", mentioned Elena Balan, the chief of the Entomology laboratory.
"The floor was also damaged, the walls are dry."
"It is very hard to work without computers. Anyway, we have to fulfill our duties", said an employee.
The analysts have good news: they managed to save the collection of insects that is older than a century.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Search, Monica Babuc said that soon, the results of the expertise will be published.
"We will obtain these results really fast. Then, the required companies will estimate the costs of the damages and we will plan our actions further", said Monica Babuc.
The employees also complained about other problem that they have.
"First of all, we should have a roof, as the rains are about to come", said Ion Toderas, the director of the Zoology Institute.
The fire occurred on April 20 and affected three thousand square meters of the roof. The damage is worth five million lei.
