Estonian experts to help Moldova develop agritourism
Estonian experts and entrepreneurs, engaged in agricultural tourism, are paying a working visit in the north of Moldova in order to share experience with Moldovan colleagues and representatives of local authorities, according to Infotag.
According to the Nord Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), the visit of six Estonian experts will last till February 3; they will visit Balti, Edinet, Ocnita and Soroca, where they will discuss the development of agritourism in the region.
The focus will be put on using the experience of Estonian resort city Parnu. In particular this means applying af the model of small business guest houses, which will be presented by Marika Kose of the Kollamaa network. While Aivar Merila will share experience of developing the resort center Kosmonautika on the Baltic Sea shore.
Welcoming the guests, ADR Nord Director Ion Bodrug said that such meetings will allow Moldovan experts and entrepreneurs to elaborate business plans in the field of agritourism.
The total budget of the visit will account for 15 thousand euros, which will be also spent on implementation of a joint project on agritourism development in Moldova after the Estonian expert visit completion.
In December 2016, the ADR Nord and the Parnu Regional Development Group signed a cooperation agreement in the field of agritourism. In February 2017, it is planned to prepare 100 specialists in this field with the assistance of Estonian experts.
