EU appreciates efforts of Moldova government
The European Union appreciates the efforts of the Chisinau authorities to implement the reforms provided by the Association Agreement. This was declared by the members of the Government, after the meeting of the Association Council Moldova - European Union in Brussels, which presented the state of affairs in the country. Justice was one of the most important subjects under consideration.
"Strategy project will be made to strengthen these efforts to have the expected impact" , said Victoria Iftodi, Justice Minister.
"There are some conclusions that in 2017 we fulfilled all the conditionalities of this reform," said Alexandru Jizdan, Minister of Internal Affairs.
During the meeting, the successes of the Transnistrian case were also appreciated.
"The positive dynamics of the negotiations process has been observed. At the same time it was mentioned that this file is one of the most successful achievements that have been in the last period," said Cristina Lesnic, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.
Government members also received recommendations from Brussels.
"Very productive, efficient and very concrete discussions on what we have to do. After all the adjustments that we have to make, finally we have competitive products that find their place on the European Union market," said Chiril Gaburici , Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.
"The EU once again reiterated its willingness to support us. We are neither the first nor the last country to face these problems. With the support of the EU's partners, we will succeed in making order, gaining the trust of the EU's partners and citizens, the most important in the Republic of Moldova is the state institutions is to grow, "said Iurie Leanca, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration.
The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to Brussels is headed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip. The meeting yesterday was chaired by European diplomacy chief Federica Mogherini.
