The European Union welcome the opening of joint Moldovan-Ukrainian border checkpoint Cuciurgan - Pervomaisk and pledge support to improve border control following European criteria. This was announced by Maja Kocijancic, head of European diplomacy, according to unian.net.

"This (opening of border checkpoint) is proof of the good relations and cooperation between Chisinau and Kiev and is welcomed by the EU as well. This step enable better goods circulation between two countries, "Maja Kocijancic said.
