EUMOLDEX 2017: Exceptional situations managed by rescue teams from six countries
The EUMOLDEX 2017 is scheduled to take place during 18-21 September.
The applications are organized by the General Inspectorate for Mental Health Situations in conjunction with the Disaster Management Program (PPRD East 2).
There will be teams of rescuers from six partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, as well as three countries working in the civil protection mechanism, such as the Czech Republic, Denmark and Romania.) This exercise is a unique opportunity for all participating states to train and improve their managerial knowledge on exceptional and disaster situations.
Applications will be conducted in close proximity to the real ones, and the participating teams, during the course of the actions, will live in camp conditions. Rescuers will face major disasters such as floods, earthquakes, accidents and fires.
The teams will work together and will strengthen communication and decision-making capabilities in major crisis situations. Furthermore, their teams will be monitored by a group of observers, whose aim is to appreciate the co-operation of states.
In total during the exercise in our country there will be representatives from 27 states of the world. The latest large-scale applications deployed in the Republic of Moldova in the field of exceptional situation management took place in 2011, attended by 32 countries.
