Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting in Kiev with the President of Slovakia, Andrei Kiska. 

Officials spoke about the European path of the Republic of Moldova. The President of Slovakia said that his country will continue to support the European integration efforts of the Republic of Moldova, but also to promote modernization reforms of the country.

Pavel Filip and Andrej Kiska exchanged views on Slovakia's takeover of the OSCE Chairmanship in January 2019. Prime Minister Pavel Filip expressed the hope of a close and effective collaboration during this term, stressing the importance of dynamizing the dialogue in the political negotiations in the Transnistrian folder.

Pavel Filip is in Kiev on the occasion of attending the events dedicated to commemorating the victims of the Holodomor. The solemn ceremony is attended by several officials, including the presidents of Slovakia and Latvia.
