An ex-bailiff in the Capital will stand trials for influence peddling. 

According to prosecutors, she requested a citizen 5,000 euros and 22,000 lei for winnings in a civil file.

In exchange for the money, the bailiff would influence the judge who examined civil case on cancellation of documents that were the basis of registration of property right over apartment in Chisinau. She, moreover, would cause a favorable decision to the man. 

The parties to the civil case were in conflict, and then they had an altercation, and the man was prosecuted for injury to bodily integrity.

Therefore, the accused has also asked for 4,500 euros, under the pretext of bribery police officers, in order to avoid criminal liability.

Both the civil and the criminal cases have not yet been settled in favor of the client of the accused, being in the courtroom.

The accused recognizes her guilt in committing trafficking of influence. She risks a fine from 100,000 to 150,000 lei or up to 5 years in prison.
